Privacy notice
Effective November 5, 2026. This notice describes the website and email community operated by The IBD Community.
Email subscriptions
We store your email address, optional first name, selected content interests, subscription status and consent history in a database. New website subscribers confirm their address by email. Previously subscribed contacts may be migrated with their recorded status and source.
Patient tools
Check-ins, questionnaire answers and scores, medication supply plans, weekly tasks, trip plans, budgets and appointment notes stay in the toolkit session unless you choose device saving. Leaving or reloading the toolkit clears an unsaved session. Optional saving uses local browser storage without an account or application-level encryption. Tool entries are not sent to our servers or email database. Anyone using the same browser profile may be able to read saved entries. Use the toolkit privacy controls to export a backup, turn saving off, or clear all data. Exported files and printed reports contain the information you include; keep them private. Calendar exports use generic Personal reminder titles by default. Clearing browser storage can erase your data.
Email delivery and hosting
Our deployment uses Render for website and database hosting and Mailgun for configured email delivery. Delivery information may include recipients, message content, delivery status, bounces and complaints. Individual email open and click tracking are disabled in this application.
Security and cookies
We use essential administrator session cookies and short-lived, pseudonymous rate-limit records to operate and protect the service. We do not run advertising trackers or session recording in patient tools.
Your choices
Every community email includes unsubscribe and preference links. We retain a limited suppression record to avoid emailing people who unsubscribe, bounce or report spam. Pending website signup requests expire from our database after 30 days when the email worker runs.
Research and external websites
We do not share your subscription or tool entries with a research team for recruitment. Following a link to another website is your choice, and that website has its own policies.

For access, correction or deletion requests, use info@wellnessclinicalresearch.com. We may need to verify that the request relates to your email address. Please do not send medical records.
